Okay, so some of you (58 exactly) are already following NC Airsoft on Twitter, but until now, there hasn't been anything to follow. Well now guess what? There is! As new topics are created here in our community, the topic title will appear on our twitter page and link you directly to the forum and the specific topic. This way, you can be informed every time a new conversation begins here, stay up to date on the most recent items that are for sale or to be traded, and know when the next big game is taking place. The only thing you need, a Twitter Account and follow us on Twitter by clicking here!

As always, comments and questions are welcomed.

Alright, I'm on a roll now. For my third project I have incorporated an ebay-esque styled feedback system for our community! Yay! So here's the low down.

You continue to post your items up for sale, trade, whatever, but now in your first post (Visible to everyone else besides the original thread starter) is a little green button (beside the report post button) that says "Rate Seller". If you buy or trade with this person for one of the items listed in the thread, press the button. This will take you to the Feedback Form.

On the form, select if you were the Buyer, Traded for the item, or the Seller (typically not going to be you if you pressed the button). Rate the transaction from the next drop down menu. This third option is VERY important. Ensure that you post the link to the thread in this spot. This is to prevent people from giving you good feedback on a post that you made in the General Chat or other non-affiliated selling forum. Leave a short message for everyone to see; like Fast Shipper! A++++++! Etc. The final box is a private message between you and the seller/buyer/trader, nobody else can see this. Press submit, and BAM! Insta-feedback.

Now people ratings can be seen at a glance in the trade bazaar and sub-forums, no where else (since it doesn't apply in those other forums. It will appear under there avatar and is called "Feedback Score". You can click on the number to be taken to the itrader account. This will give you a synopsis of the entire user, similar to ebay. Lets say your browsing the general chat forum, you can click on the username of anyone, select from the drop down menu, "View Profile". This will take you to their profile page (the same one that we've always had), but you will notice, on the left hand side, beside the tab marked Awards (where you can see their awards), there is a tab for their Feedback Score. You can click this and also see a synopsis of their itrader account.

Lets say you want to just see how the community is doing overall. At the top of the Forum, you can see those sub-categories (below [Forum] [Awards] [Blogs] [What's New?], beside the Calendar) and one of them says Community with a little arrow pointing down. Click this. It will bring up a drop menu. At the very bottom there is the link to the community itrader system. This will bring you to the main page and list recent transactions, top traders, and people you may want to avoid trading with (the Hall of Shame). Some statistics can be seen on the left, but also on the bottom left side is a search bar. Type in a username and be taken directly to their profile. If you don't know the exact spelling of their username, type in the first few letters, it should bring up some members with those letters in their name. Here you can go and view their feedback score under the tab as mentioned earlier.

Of note, if you want to manually leave feedback, say you are the seller, and the buyer hasn't left feedback yet (there is no green button for the replies to a thread) for you to reply to, you can go to their profile and click the "Submit Feedback For USERNAME". This will bring up that same feedback form as mentioned before. However, the thread will not be prefilled out, so go copy and paste it before you start this process.

So I believe that is it. If anyone has questions, comments, etc, don't hesitate to post them. Tech support is always available, start a thread in the NC Airsoft Support forum.

Alright, I've made some modifications to try and help event coordinators and players. The first is something that has always been there and would like to remind people which will hopefully increase the use. The Calendar! At the top of the page there below the tabs [Forum] [Awards] [Blogs] [What's New?], there are some sub-categories. One of them is the calendar. If you click on this you should see a list of past and upcoming events. I have tried to post the ones I've been told about, or have seen on the forum, but there are so many it is hard for just one person to keep up. So if you are hosting an event, please click on this tab and on the right hand side there is a button that says ADD NEW EVENT. Click on this to create your event.

When you create this event if you can provide the following information, it will considerably help those that are interested in attending your event:

Event Name (This should be the title of your post on the calendar)

Event Date (Be sure to select the correct date from the drop down boxes)

Event Location (Field Name and Address)

Event Cost

Event Times (You can add this in the notes, or use the field that is available for a ranged event. Use Military Time if using the field)

Age Restrictions (If any)

Force Description Requirements (Uniforms, Gear, Etc)

Scenario Details (If Any)

Another button that you should be sure to click when making an event on the calendar is the new feature that I've added. Just above text box, there is a check box that says "Allow users to specify that they will be attending this event." ALWAYS check this box.

Okay, now that we have the Event Announced, it will display here on the calendar and a week or two before the event, it will show up at the bottom of the forum to remind people this event is coming up. Players! This next part is for you. While browsing the calendar, you see an event you plan to go to. Click on the name of the event on the calendar and it will take you to the event description. At the very bottom, there is a link button that says "[I will be attending this event]" Click this link and it will add your name to the list of attending players. The button you just clicked will change to read, "[I will no longer be attending this event]". Should something change and you can't attend, go here and click to remove your username from the list. If you are ever curious as to who is coming to the event, visit the event and scroll down to the bottom. It will tell you how many people are signed up, their usernames, and if you want details on a user, click there name to be taken to their forum profile!

As always, feedback is great, I only ask that you keep it constructive.
