IMO the process is like this:

You have to see what fits naturally in your hand for you (note grips can make the hold more sticky and wider).

The rules (should of?) stated no firing on people within 100 feet of their respawn but I'm not sure if that was annouced.

After Action Review:

I was XK Squad Leader, we fielded 10 on Saturday plus 4 indies. Ran a Medic, SAW and a Rocket Launcher.
