Default U.N. Company shop and Red Fire Kit

    http://www.uncompany.com/pageenter.asp
U.N. Company is a Hong Kong online airsoft gun shop, which I had recently ordered from for the first time. Before ordering, I wanted to make contact to see if they are responsive, unlike another H.K site I've had problems with before. I've got a response the business day, much faster than the main H.K store I order from. They answered my questions very effectively about the product I was looking at, and this alone made me very happy to do business with them.

I ordered my kit from them on friday and it was shipped monday and was received wednesday, via UPS. Only problem about the U.N. company is their ordering process, namely choosing shipping methods. Unlike every place I've ordered anything from, not just airsoft, that give you bubble options of what shipping methods you would like to choose and see the grand total cost before buying the product.

Aside from that, their prices are lower than the mentioned H.K site I order from. The same kit from my main site would be $19 or so more than from U.N. Company. Not saying all of their prices are like this, but only focused on this one thing.

I was so happy to have finally received this in today. Swapping it with the original spring bolt was fairly easy, actually easier than putting the spring one back in. Each shot is loud and intimidating. It even made me jump the first couple of times shooting it. The bolt cycling is greatly shortened from the spring bolt. I have yet counted how many rounds a co2 cartridge can shoot before its empty, and it gives a nice "kossshhh" sound when the cartridge is empty.

Tomorrow, thursday, I am hoping on checking the actual chrono readings from its assumed description FPS rates, the distance I can achieve without and with hopup dialed on. Earlier mentioned the noise, this is not a silent shooting sniper rifle, but the range that I am suspecting this thing is able to cover should keep the sniper alive.

Finally had a chance to chrono this gun and this is the first Airsoft weapon that I've ever seen that shoots over 800fps, but thats only because of using crossman co2 cartridges. Badkill informed me that crossman's always shoot hot, so he handed me another brand thats far less powerful. I gave it a few shots and it clocked in between 436-500 something with .25's, but the down part is that I dont get as many shots with this brand as I do with the crossmans. Oh well, at least I'll be far away from people so I can take the time to change cartridges. I'll using crossman's only for target shooting and not at game events.

Speaking of changing cartridges, doing that with this system takes time. Reloading gas in the heat of battle is something one will not be able to do so.

Did some test firing today while it was really windy with the crossman co2 just to guage how using .3 grams would fair. If the wind is very low to no wind, it'll fly straightish, but I'm going to have to use either .32, .36 or anything in the .4 gram area. I get about 10 shots or so before the co2 goes dry.

Well it seems that I did something to make the FPS drop, and I think i know what it is but I havent exactly retested out adding another Sorbo pad to the piston. My earlier saying on crossman co2 compared to others were way wrong. All co2 acts the same, so they all shoot around 948fps almost constantly. So when I order more sorbo, I'mma try out my suspicions.
